The Return of the (Ginger) King and a Taste of Things to Come

Hello faithful readers!

If there are any of you still out there, I thank you for constantly reading the same things on this blog for the two-or-so years it has been since I have last posted. A career shift toward freelance writing, getting married, and all of these wonderful life events took me away from you. While my main freelance gig with The Nerdist has sadly come to an end, it means I can reset my focus on personal writing gigs, and attempt at a novel, and seek other outlets that may be so gracious as to let me rant about Batman or Star Wars on their behalf.

...or sometimes both. (Image: Bat in the Sun)
So, what can you expect from my triumphant return to The Ginger Geek Blogs? Other than rhetorical questions posed at my readers, I honestly can't say. I won't exactly be less busy than I have been, maybe even more so, but I will be making an effort to return to this blog to keep myself sharp, and my adoring fan satiated. I plan to start an ongoing series called "WTF Happened?" that will act as a companion piece to appearances I will make on the Jock and Nerd Podcast. If you don't know them go and listen, they are great guys and quite fun to listen to. I will occasionally be on their show, doing my own breakdowns and reviews of terrible movies, then offering insight into what the reasons for it sucking might be. Imagine it like How Did This Get Made? if they also looked into how a bad film, in fact, got made. (BTW, go listen to that podcast too.) [Edit: It seems Blake Harris from the HDTGM? team does go quite in-depth in researching the films the podcast does, and posts it every other week on /Film, so I will eat some humble pie now.]

"WTF Happened?" will compile behind-the-scenes research and speculation to paint a picture of why a bad movie is as bad as it is, and personal opinions on how it could have been saved. I welcome and encourage readers to respond back on these posts with any insight I may have missed, as well as their own opinions on what could have saved the various film so be on the lookout for that.

Otherwise, if I am not posting here be sure to also be checking How Do I Jump?, a gaming site I will be contributing to regularly as well as appearing on their podcast from time to time.

Thanks, again, readers. I love you all.
